Overview

The future of art and culture in Beacon; acting as a hub for creativity and sustainability - Recipient of two Grants

Located in the contemporary art mecca of Beacon. These ‘Garage Studios’ will house four artist studios and an art gallery. The existing 11,000sf structure was once a Studebaker showroom. The proposed design takes cues from the building’s past through architectural forms and neon lighting focused on activating street life. The primary goal of this design will be to create a beacon of light and establish a new gallery district in the town. Immense effort will be focused on sustainable design, resulting in net-zero energy use, with minimal carbon footprint. Recipient of NYSERDA Grant, and Restore New York Communities Initiative Grant.
