Overview

A Promontory Above the Oasis

Set within the Palm Springs desert, this residence is designed around the rare sensation of living above the landscape. The home occupies an elevated position surrounded by palms and water, with the mountains forming a distant horizon. Its concept is rooted in the idea of a promontory — a private vantage point where architecture, garden, and view converge.

Sweeping roof forms extend outward to create shade, shelter, and movement, while the reflecting pool mirrors the house and expands the sense of space. Interior rooms open fully to the exterior, allowing the home to function as a continuous landscape experience. The project reinterprets the desert getaway through a softer, more immersive lens: quiet, sculptural, and deeply connected to the oasis below.
